Oral History students at HCC trained by Baylor ‘Varsity official

The training was held at HCC’s Central campus, organized by Ravi Brahmbhatt (selfie photographer in the front), who is also the Project Chair for FIS’s Indo-American Oral History Project.

Foundation for India Studies (FIS) has standing MOUs, with Baylor University,Waco, Houston Community College System (HCCS) and Houston Public Library (HPL) who all will pledged to support the Indo-American Oral History project which is a community driven not-for profit project.

Some of the trained HCC students will be mentored by FIS with practical training in production of the oral history interviews.

At the national level, South Asian American Digital Archives (SAADA) will provide national exposure by posting all the FIS interviews on their website- https://www.saada.org.

Fifty two first generation immigrants from India have already participated in the project and have recorded their immigrant experiences in this land of opportunities. Don’t you want to leave a legacy of your story to your grand children? Why procrastinate ?? It would not cost a fortune.
